As telematics applications become more complex, their data management demands increase significantly. Solid provides solutions for telematics data management within a single device and a data distribution mechanism that can be used to move data between applications within the telematics infrastructure.

Solid EmbeddedEngine™ is a small footprint SQL database designed for telematics and other mobile and embedded applications. It can act as a local data manager within a telematics device, providing data integrity protection and full data recovery after unexpected outages. EmbeddedEngine can be used to store both system data and user data, including media content. A second Solid database manager - Solid BoostEngine™ - provides additional performance by enabling a developer to locate data in memory as well as on disk. Both EmbeddedEngine and BoostEngine are available in a high-availability mode that provides hot standby fail over of the database on redundant hardware.

Solid SmartFlow™ is a technology the enables the controlled flow of data both to and from telematics devices. SmartFlow ensures the global consistency of data shared between multiple devices, servers and other applications, even if they are only sometimes connected. SmartFlow can be used, for example, to deliver location-based content to telematics devices, to distribute software upgrades to mobile devices, or to collect telemetric and user data from mobile devices.
